Dear friends,
Christ is risen!
The website was long overdue for an update, so today I uploaded a large number of the scores that I produced this last year, nearly all of them using the Byzantine Music program “Melodos.” These scores are available on a number of pages throughout the website. They include the following:
For Vespers:
-Settings of “Lord, I have Cried” in several different modes (2nd, 3rd, and 4th)
-The 1st section of the Bereketis “O Theotokos in Virgin”
For Orthros:
-A brief setting of the Great Doxology in 1st Mode
-A setting of the 3rd Eothinon
For the Divine Liturgy:
-A brief setting of the Trisagion in 3rd Mode
-Several new settings of the Cherubic Hymn
-Several settings of the Anaphora (the so-called “Leitourgika”)
-A number of settings of the Communion Hymn for various commemorations
For the Triodion:
-A large number of the Doxastika and Idiomela for the Sunday commemorations during the Great Fast
-Several musical scores for the Presanctified Liturgy
For Holy Week:
-Previously-unavailable scores for Holy Monday, Tuesday, and Friday
For the Pentecostarion:
-Several musical scores for the Sunday of Pascha, some of them applicable to the whole Pentecostarion period
-Musical settings for some of the first Sundays after Pascha
I hope to soon add to the Menaion section of the website as well.
Please keep us in your prayers. Christ is risen!
New composition – an adaptation of the first Vespers idiomelon of March 9th (which, according to some Typika, also functions as the Doxastikon of Vespers as well).
March 9th – 40 Martyrs of Sebastia – Vespers Idiomelon and Doxastikon
In Everlasting Remembrance
A setting of the Communion Hymn for Tuesdays and for most Saints’ feast days – “In Everlasting Remembrance” (Εἰς μνημόσυνον αἰώνιον), based on a setting of a different Communion Hymn by Petros Peloponnesios the Lambadarios.
